Light heavyweight Nikita Krylov released from UFC contract stat : bloodyelbow

as declared in In a move that certainly shocked me, the promotion has released Nikita Krylov from his contract.
The UFC light heavyweight ranks are a little thinner today.
The 24-year-old Krylov (21-5, 6-3 UFC) had a five-fight winning streak snapped at UFC 206 where he was defeated by Misha Cirkunov (who is also on his way out of the organization).
He started with the promotion as a 21-year-old heavyweight in 2014, but dropped to 205 pounds after two fights.
With the release of Krylov and Cirkunov, along with the imminent departure of top contender Ryan Bader, the 205-pound division is the thinnest it’s been in a very long time.

according to Krylov’s release is particularly puzzling considering the UFC light heavyweight faction is the shallowest in all of the promotion.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) axed yet another up-and-coming light heavyweight today (Fri., Feb. 17, 2017), releasing Nikita Krlyov from his promotional contract, per a report by MMA Junkie.
Krylov, 24, is a former heavyweight prospect who ventured down to 205 pounds and saw undeniable success.
This comes just one week after another divisional prospect, Misha Cirkunov, was let go by UFC after “flaking” from contract negotiations.
After losing his light heavyweight debut opposite Ovince Saint Preux, “The Miner” went on a five-fight win streak, closing out all of those victories by either knockout, TKO or submission.
