Missouri State swimming and diving reclaims conference championship quoting : News-Leader

as mentioned in MSU logo (Photo: Courtesy photo)The Missouri State swimming and diving team won their 13th Missouri Valley Conference Championship title with a total score of 832.5 points.
“It feels so good to bring the conference title back to Missouri State,” head coach Dave Collins said in a press release.
Southern Illinois, the 2015-16 MVC champions, finished behind Missouri State with a total of 649 points.
Host UNI finished third (615), followed by Illinois State (393.5), Evansville (365), Little Rock (303) and MVC newcomer Indiana State (148).
At the championships, Pavel broke MSU and MVC records in the 200 IM, as well as the 100 and 200 breast.

As it stated in Julian Ziaggi ’17 captured sixth place and racked up 376.75 points in the diving finals of the 3-meter springboard.
Hamilton College finished in 11th place after the third and final night at the 2017 NESCAC Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships held at Wesleyan University’s Natatorium in Middletown, Conn., on Sunday.
Luke Jeton ’17 took fourth place in the pre-consolation final (20th overall) of the 200 butterfly in 1:59.07.
Jesse Bennett ’19 ended up in seventh place in the pre-consolation final (23rd overall) of the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:10.26.
Bennett’s performance landed him in seventh place on the program’s top times list.

Sophomore Andrew Seliskar went for a triple win in the 200-yard freestyle (1:35.46), 200-yard butterfly (1:44.85) and 200-yard breastroke (1:57.01).
Senior Bradley Christensen and freshman Cameron Thatcher went one and two in the 1-meter diving, putting Cal freshman Connor Callahan in the third-place position.

As the Bears solidified win after win in the sprints, the Cardinal relied on its prowess in diving and distance freestyle events to creep up the leaderboard.
