As it stated in Earlier on the same day, Mumbai cricketer Harmeet Singh was arrested for driving his car on to a platform at Andheri railway station.
However, a case of mistaken identity cost the cricketer his chances of being picked.

On Monday, during the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, Madhya Pradesh batsman Harpreet Singh was hoping to be picked by a franchise to play the T20 league.
“Incident of driving car into Andheri Railway Stn platform involved U19 cricketer Harmeet Singh, not Harpreet Singh as reported earlier… Mumbai U-19 cricketer Harmeet Singh who was then arrested for the offence, was granted bail by Andheri court thereafter,” the agency tweeted.
As it stated in Sympathisers call it disheartening to see Andhra players being left out of the IPL auction.
From Andhra Pradesh, only one player has been picked in the auction.
This reflects the sad conditions of the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) which must take the blame for having consistently failed to nurture talent and develop quality cricketers.
The other three players from Andhra were not considered by any franchise, says former Ranji player and cricket administrator of ACA, G.J.J.
Cricket fans in Vizag and surrounding districts were also disappointed because Vizag will not host any match of the IPL-2017 as per the venue-list.
