Willie Reed will not travel with the Miami Heat for Monday’s game in Dallas because of bursitis in his right ankle.
The incident occurred after Gobert was called for fouling Giannis Antetokounmpo midway through the third quarter of Utah’s 109-95 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday.
according to Rudy Gobert has been fined $25,000 for intentionally making contact with a game official, the NBA announced on Sunday in an official release.
But the letter of the law says that players can’t intentionally make contact with referees, for obvious reasons — and Gobert is now $25,000 lighter because of it.
Gobert was obviously upset with the foul call, and was a little overly excited in tracking down the referee to plead his case.
The incident occurred with 5:19 remaining in the third quarter of Utah’s 109-95 win over the Bucks on Friday, and can be seen here.
Honestly, this doesn’t seem like much.
