Redskins GM Scot McCloughan remains MIA from Ashburn as NFL free agency starts
Scot McCloughan was not on hand at Redskins Park when free agency opened Tuesday.
But Tuesday came and went without General Manager Scot McCloughan, the man most responsible for building the Redskins’ roster, joining his colleagues at Redskins Park.
On many NFL teams, general managers are charged with acquiring players, while the head coach determines who stays and who is cut.
Redskins vice president of communications Tony Wyllie said simply, “We’re busy with free agency,” when asked about McCloughan’s whereabouts, declining to elaborate.
