as declared in The Party of Abraham Lincoln is no more and the Trump Russia scandal may not only destroy Donald Trump’s presidency but the entire Republican party.
Now less than fifty days into Donald Trump’s presidency this Republican moral failing has reached its apotheosis.
The Republican Party’s moral center continued to crumble throughout Donald Trump’s campaign as with very few exceptions elected leaders were unwilling to speak out against his repeated spewing of hate and bigotry.
Amid a growing amount of intelligence information that begs for an independent investigation into the Russian hacking of the election, Congressional Republicans continue to downplay this need.
As Russian smoke billows around Donald Trump and his scandal ridden swamp and as information slowly leaks into the public domain, Congressional Republicans double down on placing party before country.

State Republican Party Chairman Steve House, who ousted Call two years ago, said in late January that he wouldn’t seek a second term.
Colorado Springs political strategist Sherrie Gibson is the only announced candidate for vice chair, and state GOP secretary Brandi Meek is unopposed seeking a second term.

Republican Party chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel says she’s skipping the ‘Day Without Women’

WASHINGTON — Ronna Romney McDaniel, the chairwoman of the Republican Party, skipped Wednesday’s planned “Day Without Women,” saying many women don’t have the privilege of being able to take a day off of work.
In a letter posted on The Independent Journal Review, Romney McDaniel said the message behind the event does not represent all women.
Romney McDaniel went on to say many women don’t get to take the day off from being a mother and setting an example for their children.
The “Day Without Women” is a global protest held in conjunction with International Women’s Day where women around the world and supporters of the movement are going on strike during the day to protest various issues affecting women.
