NFL hires Dr. Allen Sills as chief medical officer stat : ESPN

PHOENIX — The NFL has hired Dr. Allen Sills as its chief medical officer.
Sills, 52, will work with NFL team medical staffs, the NFL Players Association and its advisers, as well as experts on the league’s medical committees.
He comes to the league from the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he serves as professor of neurological surgery, orthopaedic surgery and rehabilitation.
But Sills’ role with the NFL will not be confined to a specific medical area; all league medical committees will report to him.

Dr. Sills comes to the NFL from Vanderbilt University where he is Professor of Neurological Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Reid Thompson, Chairman of the Department of Neurological Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, says Allen Sills is an exceptional leader and passionate.
