Scottish boxer Jordan Coe dies in Thailand of suspected heatstroke
A Scottish Muay Thai boxer has died in Thailand of suspected heatstroke.
Mr Coe, of Maddiston, Falkirk was a professional Muay Thai boxer and formerly trained at a gym in Glasgow.
Jordan Coe, 20, was found dead in a heavy tracksuit on Sunday and is believed to have been trying to reach a certain weight for a professional fight.
Trainer Kritchai Kritnok told police that the 20-year-old went out with the heavy clothing to try to shred three kilograms (6.6 pound) so that he could meet the 61-kg limit for a bout on Sunday, the Bangkok Post reported.

The Board of England Boxing said in a statement on Saturday: “It is with great sadness that the Board of England Boxing, the governing body for boxing in England, can confirm that a boxer died last night following a bout at an England Boxing-sanctioned event in Derby.
“The Board of England Boxing has set up an investigation to establish the facts of what happened and will provide an update when we know more.
“We are also asking all of the England Boxing coaches, officials and volunteers that were present on the night to co-operate with the police investigation and assist the authorities in any way they can.
A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out in order to establish the cause of death.
