Mo Alie-Cox training for switch from basketball to NFL according to : NFL.com

as informed in Virginia Commonwealth basketball player Mo Alie-Cox is the latest college hoops player looking to make a career in the NFL rather than the NBA.
The power forward-turned-tight end has informed NFL clubs he will work out for scouts on April 11, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Gathers played basketball at Baylor, went through football training after the season and drew 24 NFL clubs for a pre-draft workout.
It’s a long shot, of course, but it probably looked like a long shot at one time for the likes of Graham and Gates, too.
If Alie-Cox can at least cling to an NFL roster in a developmental role like Gathers has, there’s always hope.

VCU basketball standout Mo Alie-Cox eyes jump to NFL

as mentioned in “I think I’ve still played football, the amount of years, longer than I played basketball.
An athletic 6-foot-7, 250 pounds, Alie-Cox has the physical attributes NFL scouts covet, and he’s no secret to that community.
But I transferred to private school, we had like 200 kids, we didn’t have a football team.
“I played football for nine years growing up,” Alie-Cox told Sporting News last spring.
The VCU forward has long been mentioned as a potential future NFL player, and NFL Media reported Friday he will work out for scouts on April 11.
