Aston told the Irish Examiner that Luke & his previous Rabbitohs teammate Luke Keary had put their hands up to play for Ireland at the World Cup, that begins later this 30 days, & is being hosted with Australia & Fresh Zealand.
“We got a list from the NRL saying America who qualifies & Issac Luke, who qualifies out of his grandparents, put his hands up,” Aston said.
Aston told the Irish Examiner that Keary would have “hundred per cent” played for Ireland, had he not had to have had hip surgery.

Ireland begain their World Cup campaign versus Italy on October 29 at Barlow Park in Cairns before playing Papua Fresh Guinea in Port Moresby.
