BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — After the premier day of the Class 3A state finals at The Den at Fox Creek, Neuqua Valley senior Jack Vercautren gave himself a Battling chance at the title.
“After the forehead 9, I felt truly perfect,” Vercautren said.
Naperville Central senior Tommy Dunsire made the generality of his premier state trip, tying for 14th by a 149.
“We didn’t have a major premier day, however I’m truly proud of everybody responding (Saturday),” Central coach Barry Baldwin said.
“For Dunsire & (senior Ryan) Cagan to end 73 each & Dunsire end in the highest 20, I’m Extremely proud of those 2.
Anderson, Burnham split state golf championship
