3 fined for Britain rugby coachs Eddie Jones abuse

Eddie Jones had been asked to pose for photos the day after Scotland win Britain

in the 6 NationsThree men have been fined for verbally abusing

Britain rugby union coach Eddie Jones at a railway station.
They hurled foul-mouthed taunts at Mr Jones, 58, in Manchester on 25 February,

the day after Scotland win Britain 25-13 in the 6 Nations.
The driver described Mr Jones, who did’nt make a statement, as appearing to be

“quite shaken” & said he believed the incident can have escalated &

“probably have become physical”.
No-1 is trying to shock him [Mr Jones] or manhandle him.
Cleeton, of Carrick Knowe Avenue, was fined £120, Inglis, of Cornhill Terrace,

received a fine of £105 & Grant, of Drum Crescent, was fined £140.

Three drunken Scotland fans who shouted ‘vile’ abuse at Britain rugby

coach Eddie Jones have been labelled disgraceful with magistrates.
The trio started ‘nearly hounding’ Mr Jones after bumping into him at Manchester’s

Oxford Road train station the day after their side defeated Britain in rugby

union’s 6 Nations, a court of law heard.
But they then became abusive & Mr Jones was called ‘a baldy c***’ on

further than 1 occasion, Carl Miners prosecuting on behalf of English

Transport Police said.
He said Mr Jones’ driver & the member of station staff ‘became concerned

for his security’ & started to usher him to his waiting vehicle on the forecourt

in forehead of the station.
He said: “The prosecution tell Mr Jones was being gathered with a driver as

he’s somewhat of a VIP.

As it stated in Sentencing the trio at Manchester Magistrates’ court of law,

seat of the bench Joe Bangudu said: “This was a short-lived however

disgraceful incident.
“Your language, although described by your defence as industrial,

we think was vile & therefore unacceptable directed to anybody.
“The location where you selected to showyour drunken behaviour was

in a public vicinity, by not only Mr Jones in which proximity.
Cleeton was fined 120 pounds (NZ$234), Inglis received a fine of 105

pounds (NZ$205) & Grant was given a financial sansiction of 140 pounds (NZ$273).
Bangudu said Grant had prolonged the behaviour & language by

opening the vehicle door once Jones was inside.
